Mobile Connection and Calling Card

Your Indian Mobile instrument will work in UK, so you just need to get a SIM.

You can either take a Matrix Connection from India or buy a SIM card in London.

The benefit of taking Matrix connection is that you are sent a bill at the end of the month in India and you can pay in Rupees.  Downside is that cost per call may be slightly higher and many times people don’t realise how much they are spending on phone calls till the end of the month.

If you decide to go for a SIM in London, we would recommend you buy a pay-as-you-go (prepaid) card.  They are available in many places like Car Phone Warehouse which has outlets at the airport and within a few minutes from Amity House.

To call to India you can try to get a calling card from a newsagents.  Be careful and see all the terms and conditions as these cards have many hidden costings.
