Travelling in London

The public transport system in London is one of the best globally and is the most convenient to move around in.  Full details will be given during orientation but some information is given below:

Oyster card
We suggest that you buy an Oyster Card to pay for your travels on the Tube and Bus. 

This is a rechargeable pay as you go card and can be bought at any tube station.  The cost per trip is automatically calculated to be the cheapest. 

There is an initial GBP 3 fee to get the card which is also refundable.  Then you just charge the card and keep topping up when required. 

We suggest you initially add GBP 20 and then see how much your average daily usage is coming out to be.
